Good idea.  If Europe wanted to see American football, then they would have supported NFL Europe, which was shut down because it was losing $30 million a year.

I think the problem selling "foreign" games in Europe is that the average consumer is not as prepared as we are, to fork out a couple of hundred Euro's for an afternoon at the game, a few beers, a souvenir and a train ride. You look at Germany, France, Italy and Spain, you see that it is really the big prosperous city teams that dominate the landscape and other teams have a lot of diffiulty selling enough tickets to grow. (This is why England has so many International players). Consider the population of Paris and realize that they have one professional team (plus some weak rugby and one second division team). How many teams does New York, LA and London England have. Then add to that the lack of grass root football, baseball and hockey leagues and you see it is a tough sell.

England is different and is the way to initiate selling into Europe. It is a 6 hour flight over to London, why can't London have an NFL team playing directly againts the best. Imagine the NFL could have 8 games a year playing at 10:00am, that alone would great extra revenue.   

Over here all our kids play soccer so there is a bit of a natural market that will eventually lead to being able to support top brass soccer. You look at Man U vs Real Madrid and that is like an all star game. Take the hockey all star game or the super bowl to London and they would fill Wembley. Take them to France or Italy and they would not fill a sandbox.

The Europeans would probably rather spend money on the other football because it originated in Europe or wherever. You don't see that many Americans going to see soccer as much as football or baseball, or basketball because they all have originated here. People would rather spend money on stuff that they are interested in.
